A Day on the Academy's Grounds - CLOSED Empty A Day on the Academy's Grounds - CLOSED

Nehema wandered outside the main buildings of the Coil's campus.  Her pace seemed rather languid, and as days went here on Ziost, this one seemed one of the more mild.  She wore her usual attire of soft leather and other more yielding fabrics, which seemed to barely cover her curvaceous form, giving generous view of the Lethan Twi'lek's skin.  The highly valued red coloring was interspersed with the harsh, angular announcements of black Sith tattoos.  She stopped, coming unto some gentle rise, looking out over the landscape, her violet eyes seeming to take in more than what was within their sight.

The nearby servants gave her a wide berth, the seemingly ever-present 'serfs' knowing full well their position in the hierarchy here.  Things within the school itself might be fluid and subject to change, but the servants were largely beneath everyone else.  Some stole glances at the outré beauty of the Twi'lek, while others had moved away at the earliest signs of someone approaching this area.  They would attend duties elsewhere, for there were always duties to fulfill.

Nehema pondered on the recent changes in her life.  She had been bred for this, her destiny deliberately designed, her own self forged to great detail and pointed in a precise direction, and here she was, having flown through the basic curriculum of the Korriban Academy with little effort and now prepared to do the same here.  She had first heard of the Orthic Coil before leaving for Korriban, and she supposed that was unusual.  As she learned more, it seemed the perfect venue for her to increase her power.  She had managed to get into one of the Houses, and she found it very interesting.  The Lord Gemens of the House of Sighs still seemed less visible than the other two of the Triumvirate.  This intrigued her.  She did not believe the rumors that he was gone and the other two were merely keeping it secret.  She did like the nebulous feeling of secrecy that she had already experienced as a very recent inductee of the Faction, and she pondered such as she stood here on the borders of the school's grounds, looking out over the bleak landscape.

Tiannaj sighs as she moves her left hand to cover her eyes. She is tired, spending so much time investigating possible sources of knowledge and trying to catalog the broken artifacts she recovered from Balmorra. At least the Holocron she gave to Lady Lilith'yia was undoubtedly a valuable piece, and ultimately what granted her to be accepted into her House. That thought brought a smile to her face.

She needs a rest, or at least a change of scenery... packing the ancient artifacts on her bag she stands up and decides to walk towards one of the rest areas, overlooking the frozen landscape of Ziost. She immediately notices the servants and how they move away from her, causing a little pang of guilt... it wasn't too long ago that she was a slave, so she made a point of calling a few of the servants around her and ask them for help moving the datapads and holocrons she was studying.  It was highly unusual that a student would even address them, but was even stranger that one would ask them for a favor rather than bark a command.

As she reached her destination, Tiannaj just couldn't help to stare at the strange beauty of this frozen world. Behind her the few servants who helped her carry the datapads (Something that the Sith student clearly didn't need any help) brought a comfortable chair to put near the great window.

Tiannaj rewarded the servants with a bright smile and a thank you, only increasing the confusion on the poor girls. Tiannaj didn't care  about what was expected of a Sith and how others behaved to those less fortunate... she was a slave once and she would at least treat slaves and servants... those beneath her current station with dignity and compassion.

Finally, with a new background and after some time to meditate and admire the impressive landscape, she resumed her study, and made sure to direct a kind word or a greeting to any servant that came close to her.
